Abstract: The development of China's laboratory animal industry is in the ascendant, but there are still problems such as lack of core technology and independent intellectual property rights. From the perspective of patents, this paper analyzes the development trend of China's laboratory animal industry from the dimensions of the distribution of patent applications, the distribution of patent technology fields and application fields, the distribution of patent applicants, the layout of patents and the distribution of high-value patents, and puts forward countermeasures to stimulate the vitality of innovation subjects, establish a high-level public technical service platform, and promote in-depth cooperation between industry, academia, research and medicine.
